PhD Student in Petrology, Geochronology and Mineral Resources (100%)
The Mineral Resources Systems Group is offering a fully-funded (4 years) PhD position. The project will focus on understanding the timescales and thermo-chemical evolution associated with the construction of arc-related plutons and magmatic-hydrothermal processes leading to the formation of giant mineral deposits.

背景偏好：Essential requirement for selection is a top-quality MSc or equivalent 4-5 year degree in geological sciences and a good university background in quantitative science (maths, physics, chemistry, programming). A keen interest in geological field observation, careful petrographic study, geochronology, petrology and mineral resources is essential. Experience with working in a clean lab environment, mass spectrometry and numerical modelling is not required but will be regarded as an advantage. The working language of the department is English. Basic knowledge of Spanish is not compulsory but would be appreciated.
