Official transcripts are not required as part of the application. All applicants are required to upload unofficial transcripts directly to the online application. Transcripts that are sent directly to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences can not be added to your application.If you are admitted and accept the offer of admission, you will be required to send official transcripts to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences from all colleges attended prior to matriculation. All transcripts must be in English. If you are submitting a transcript that is not in English, you must submit a certified English translation of the transcript and degrees awarded.
Personal Statement:
In your Personal Statement, we hope to learn your area of interest (topic and geographic), what education/experience led you to that interest, what you plan to do upon completion of the degree, and why BU would be the place to study: Which professor(s) would you seek out as advisors? What about our department interests you?
