哈佛大学建筑学专业(Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences)
哈佛大学建筑学专业介绍:
哈佛大学设计研究生院(Graduate School of Design,缩写GSD)开设有建筑学、景观设计与城市规划三个专业以及众多硕士博士项目,各项目的申请要求完全相同。
GSD的建筑GUND HALL不得不说,巨大的阶梯状开放空间,充分体现了分享合作的精神,所有专业的学生在一起,年级越高,层数越高,是不是感觉人生一直在走上坡路?
建筑系的风格一个字“杂”!“杂”其实就是GSD的特点,有特别建构的studio,有参数化、机械臂的studio,有极其理论化的studio,可谓“群魔乱舞”,不过各个方向都有大牛把持,也不会出什么问题。之前的GSD坚持以设计为重点,将小尺度、设计、艺术为核心作为主要发展方向。现在GSD景观专业大力调整了师资以及课程设置,将注意力转向了大尺度的景观规划以及景观对于城市发展的影响上。另外,GSD的老师相对理论性强一些,而背景也相对混杂。每天晚上基本都会有讲座,壕,实在是没有办法。
哈佛大学设计研究生院建筑学(Architecture)专业设有M.ArchⅠ和M.ArchⅡ两个硕士项目,前者针对的是无本科建筑学专业背景的学生,后者则恰好相反,前者学制一般为3年,后者学制一般为1.5年。该专业要求学生递交GRE成绩,但并无GRE分数要求。具体申请方法、奖学金等请见设计学院的申请说明。

哈佛大学建筑学专业申请说明:
1、TOEFL总分不低于92分,单项均不低于23分。TOEFL推荐分数要求:总分不低于104分,单项均不低于26分;哈佛大学不接受IELTS成绩和其他语言成绩;
2、GRE阅读平均分为157分,数学为159分,写作为4.0分;
3、此处为2015-16学年设计学院平均每年的费用标准。需要注意的是,该费用每年会有较小(不超过5%)的涨幅;
4、建筑学项目仅限秋季学期申请,申请截止日期为1月5日。

哈佛大学设计学院是一个充满开发和创意的地方。每一个学生都有一个自己的studio工位,不分年级和专业满满地排列在斜坡上,颇为壮观!
哈佛的学术氛围也会轻松幽默,1月18日正好是哈佛设计学院老师各自介绍自己studio的时候,规定老师必须在3分钟之内介绍完自己的studio,2分30秒的时候就开始提示音乐表示时间快要到了,随着时间的推移,音乐的声音也会越来越大,到了3分钟后主持人会掐断发言。这中间往往会惹得大家满腹发笑。
每个老师都有一个studio的课程,这个课程不是在课堂上的,往往是老师实际上要投标或者已经接标的方案,方案遍布世界各地:武汉、马德里、罗马等等,就看学生对哪个老师的项目感兴趣,然后选择老师的studio这个学期和老师一起做这个方案。
说到哈佛GSD的开放还体现在入学申请中,美国的大学申请除了本科一些学校专业不定(undecided),其他的包括研究生只能一个学校申请一个专业,可是哈佛GSD允许申请者同时申请三个专业!
