南加州大学MPA开设于1929年，开设在南加大公共政策学院下，是全美最古老、最出色的项目之一。据U.S. News World Report排名，南加大的公共政策学院在上在公共事务学院中排名全美第六，在公共管理专业方向排名第六。该项目是一个2年制的全日制项目。同时，学校也开设了在职形式，时长为3年。

南加州大学公共管理专业申请要求
1.专业背景：不限；但有先修课要求（一般是在本科学校修完，当然也可以在被认可的大学里面修完）：
Statistics：可以通过两种方式获得：1）Statistics Course Taken Prior to Enrollment in the MPA-在MPA项目入学前完成，即在MPA修读的3年时间内完成大学成都的统计课程，并获得 B 或以上的成绩；2）PPD 502x Statistical Foundations for Public Management and Policy-如果学生没有达到上面要求，学生便须修读PPD 502x课程，并获得 B 或以上的成绩。
Undergraduate Social Sciences Courses （12 units）：学生在录取到MPA项目时，没有完成12学分的本科社会科学课程的话，录取信中会说明此问题。那么，这些课程可以在任意被认可的大学或学院修完，成绩必须是C或以上，且必须是MPA项目开始前的12个学分。
2.GPA：3.0/4.0
3.托福：需要（学校代码：4852）
4.GRE：需要，如果有5年全职工作经历，便可联系学校招生办，申请豁免。也接受GMAT。
5.截止日期：
秋季：December 15 （scholarship deadline），July 1 （final deadline） ；
春季：November 1；
夏季：April 1
