什么是“拇指文化”?.

  thumb是指the short thick finger at the side of the hand, slightly apart from the other four。“拇指”,又称“大拇指”或“大拇哥”。thumb一词可以构成许多短语词组。拇指活动灵活,可以构成非语言交流方式,表达丰富的思想感情。

  中国人爱一边竖大拇哥,一边说“好极了!”、“真棒!”、“呱呱叫!”之类赞赏的话语。英美人也有向上伸大拇指的手势,除了表示“赞赏”,还可以表示“赞成”或“同意”。英语名词短语thumbs up和动词短语to turn up one’s thumb都表示“赞赏”或“赞成”,例如:
