英国第一王者 传奇亚瑟王.

　　亚瑟王(King Arthur)，传说中古不列颠最富有传奇色彩的伟大国王。人们对他的认识更多的是来自凯尔特神话传说(Celtic mythology)和中世纪的一些文献，没有人大量涉足过亚瑟王的真实生活。传说他是英格兰传说中的国王，也是凯尔特英雄谱中最受欢迎的圆桌骑士团 (Knights of the Round Table)的骑士首领，一位近乎神话般的传奇人物。罗马帝国瓦解之后，他率领圆桌骑士团统一了不列颠群岛，被后人尊称为亚瑟王。

　　King Arthur is a legendary British leader of the late 5th and early 6th centuries, who, according to medieval histories and romances, led the dence of Britain against Saxon invaders in the early 6th century.

　　Although the themes, events and characters of the Arthurian legend varied widely from text to text, and there is no one canonical version. Geoffrey depicted Arthur as a king of Britain who deated the Saxons and established an empire over Britain, Ireland, Iceland, Norway and Gaul.

　　Many elements and incidents that are now an integral part of the Arthurian story appear in Geoffrey&aposs Historia, including Arthur&aposs father Uther Pendragon, the wizard Merlin, Arthur&aposs wife Guinevere, the sword Excalibur, Arthur&aposs conception at Tintagel, his final battle against Mordred at Camlann and final rest in Avalon.

　　亚瑟王的圆桌骑士：

　　亚瑟王南征北战统一领土，最后登上王位宝座，其麾下的圆桌骑士团功不可没。相传，亚瑟王从王后格尼薇儿的父亲那里得到了一张巨大的圆型桌子，供他麾下的骑士聚会使用。“圆桌骑士”因而得名。这张圆桌的含意是“平等”与“团结”。而当时圆桌骑士中也存在类似于军规的约定，英国学者托马斯·马洛礼(Sir Thomas Malory，1405-1471)经过考证，将其归结为以下6条：

　　1.To never do outrage nor murder.

　　永不暴怒和谋杀。

　　2.Always to flee treason.

　　永不背叛。

　　3.To by no means be cruel but to give mercy unto him who asks for mercy.

　　永不残忍，给予求降者以宽恕。

　　4.To always do ladies, gentlewomen and widows succor.

　　5.To never force ladies, gentlewomen or widows.

　　永不胁迫女士。

　　6.Not to take up battles in wrongful quarrels.
