　　距北京市中心约50公里的怀柔雁栖湖，是此次APEC会议周的最重头戏——领导人非正式会议会场所在地。雁栖岛上的国际会议中心、贵宾别墅、日出东方酒店、国际会展中心，既是会议成功举办的坚实保障，也是体现低碳环保理念的示范。岛上还设有3000个鸟舍，供鸟类在迁徙中歇脚。

　　The APEC Economic Leaders&apos Meeting will be held near Yanqi Lake, 50 kilometers north of Beijing&aposs downtown area. On the Yanqi Island, a conference center, hotel, exhibition center and VIP villas all use green technologies. Altogether 3,000 bird nests have been built for bird migrations.
