中美合拍3D电影《敢问路在何方》.

　　A movie based on the Chinese classic "Journey to the West" is set to be jointly produced byAmerican and Chinese moviemakers, according to a Beijing Times report.

　　根据北京时代周刊报道，中美两方的制片商将以中国经典影视剧“西游记”为基础原型共同合拍新版

　　Journey to the West, also known as The Monkey King, written by Wu Cheng'en in the 16thcentury, is one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. It tells the story of thelegendary pilgrimage of Tang dynasty Buddhist monk Xuanzang who traveled to the 'WesternRegions', or India in modern terms, to obtain sacred texts while encountering numerouschallenges.

　　西游记又名美猴王，是中国四大名著之一，作者是16世纪的作家吴承恩。它讲述了大唐僧人玄奘经历艰难险阻为了获得经文游历到西方也就是现在的印度的一场传奇之旅

　　Well-known Chinese actors including Liu Xiao Ling Tong, Ma Dehua, Chi Chongrui, all from theChina Central Television (CCTV) 1986 classic TV version of the novel, as well as Liu Dagangfrom a 1998 version, were present at a press conference to support the new movie, which willbe called "Where the Road Leads to."

　　Liu Xiao Ling Ting, who previously portrayed the Monkey King, and Ma, who acted as Zhu Bajiethe pig, have been confirmed to act in the new film.

　　Rob Moore, Paramount's vice president, said the Monkey King is a world-famous character, andthe novel is an extremely magical story that will work marvelously with the latest movietechnology.

　　Also confirmed to be behind the new movie is the Transformers supporting crew as well asproducer Mark Johnson, who is known for "Rain Man" and "Breaking Bad."
