因为床位不足，这所学校竟然将录取学生拒之门外.

　　More than 100 students enrolled at a vocational school in South China were turned away on registration day because there wasn’t enough dorm space for them.

　　由于床位不足，100 多名被中国南方一职业学校录取的新生被拒收。

　　The Guangxi Industry and Commerce School (GICS) in Nanning broke the news of the over-enrollment to students when they attempted to register for classes on Saturday, a parent posted on social media.

　　一位学生家长发微博称，星期六，当他们去位于南宁的广西工商学校报名入学时，学校却宣布招收名额已经爆满了。

　　The students had waited into the night Saturday bore the school finally broke the news of the over-enrollment, a student said.

　　一名学生说，报名当天，一直等到星期六晚上，学校才告知已经招满了。

　　The problem began when the school sent out a total of 2,000 enrollment offers to new students despite only having room for 900 in the school’s dormitories, a GICS employee explained.

　　学校一工作人员解释说，“学校发出了2000多份录取通知书，不过床位只有900多个。”

　　"We sent offers to all the students who had contacted us and showed interest in studying at our school," the employee said.

　　他说，“只要是联系了我们学校，有意愿报名的学生，我们都发放了录取通知书。”

　　Those that had not paid tuition bore the August 10 deadline were also turned away, the school said.

　　学校还说，那些在8月10日前没有来缴纳相关费用的学生，也不能登记入学。

　　Local education officials said schools often cast their nets wide for students to stave off under-enrollment, a problem for most vocational schools.

　　本地教育局官员称，职业学校多存在招不满学生的现象，为了避免此情况，学校一般都会多发放通知书。
