　　l So + ADJECTIVE + as to + VERB

　　例1 The sauce was SO hot AS TO burn my mouth. √

　　错误：The sauce had such heat as to burn my mouth.

　　Such…as to…也是可以的，但such后面不加抽象名词。so/such...as to...表示结果，用于单一主谓结构中，逻辑主语等于句子主语，即句子主语可以执行as to 后动词的动作。

　　错误：The sauce had so much heat as to burn my mouth. (正确情况是so后面加形容词，much heat为名词)

　　例2 Often major economic shifts are SO gradual AS TO be indistinguishable at first from ordinary fluctuations in the financial markets. √

　　注意：so … as to be/do…一般用于单一主语，但是不能相隔太远，否则可以视为错误。

　　so … as to be/do…后面一般不加被动语态。
