1. What are the different ways people get news?

Mass media is the most important channel through which we get the news. Newspapers, TV, Radio and magazines. Nowadays, Internet offers us a much easier access to the information. Sometimes our friends like to talk about daily events, which provides another way for us to get news.

2. What types of news do you like?

TV news, Radio News, Internet News.......

I prer TV news to the radio news. I can get a better understanding of the news on TV because I can see the vivid pictures and images. In addition, I feel more convinced of the news through watching some TV interviews.

Local, Entertainment, Finance, Sports, Politics...

I prer local news. because it relates to my day to day stuff. To see if there are any crimes in my area I need to be aware of, to know what the weather will be like, & to see if there&aposs any good show in town.

I like international news because I like to keep up-to-date about what&aposs going on in the world in case I&aposm going on vacation, or need to do business abroad. I also like it because it teaches me about other cultures and that way learn a lot about human psychology.

3. Do you think children like (= are interested in) the news? (Why?/Why not?)

No I don&apost think they are interested because it is soo depressing and kids look for humour in TV also they would be too young to understand what was going on.

There could be an announcement on the News about a Nuclear Bomb being on its way here and a lot of people would still stay , they are like: "Oooh, turn it over....... Its all doom and gloom on the news." (doom and gloom: A deeply pessimistic outlook or feeling.

4. Are old people and young people interested in the same (kinds of) news? (Why?/Why not?)

If they aren&apost, they should be. A young person can learn so much from a senior, and a senior can learn a lot from a young person also. But on average, I would say kids like stuff about sports music and entertainment more than seniors do.

It really depends on the individual and not their age. For example: I know young people who are very interested in global events and some elderly interested in celebrity watching, and vice-versa. It is individual prerence.

5. How does the news affect people?

News will affect people&aposs expectations about the future. They will rearrange and adapt their plans to the changes they get from the news. For instance, a large number of people keep an eye on what&aposs going on in the stock market..........

News influences people by only reporting certain things and leaving out parts that could matter. One sided news or journalism isn&apost news but propaganda in my opinion. It&aposs like the good old saying LeLe always mentioned: Some people would rather believe the lies of Satan than the truth of God.
