　　1. Introductory sentence 概括句

　　The author builds a powerful argument to persuade his audience that ...(改写过的主题句)…through the utilization of various types of evidence /specific diction /pathos /logical reasoning.

　　[1] 文章的开头点出作者论证的主旨和主要使用的论证方法和例子类型。

　　[2] 陈述作者的主题句千万不能照搬原文，而要在保持原句意思的前提下进行改写。在美国写论文，paraphrase(改写)和plagiarize(抄袭)只有一线之隔，即使注明出处，也不能照搬哦。

　　[3] to utilize pathos相当于to appeal to emotion，表示作者用诉诸情感的方式来论证。

　　2. Conclusion 总结句

　　Powerful reasoning, various types of evidence, diction, qualification and other rhetorical devices all contribute to an exceptionally well-written and convincing argument.

　　这句话的主要作用是对作者的论证方法进行总结，然后夸赞一下作者，用的好些也是不错的。

　　The author employs stylistic elements through his carul choice of words that strengthen the argument and make a powerful impression on the reader.

　　emotionally charged words 指的是带有强烈情感色彩的词。一般的论证中我们用的多是中性词，但是有些词有明显的情感导向性。例如：

　　suicide bomber(自杀式炸弹袭击者)是个中性词，terrorist(恐怖份子)和martyr(殉道者)就是具有不同感情色彩导向的词。

　　再来一个OG范文里的例子：

　　“Bureaucracy” and “evil incarnate” all depict a disparaging tone of annoyance and anger, helping the author to solidify his argument and evoke a concern among his audience.

　　“官僚主义”和“邪恶化身”都体现了贬低的语气，表达了作者的愤怒，同时帮助作者强化了观点。

　　8. Rhetorical questions 反问与设问

　　The author builds his argument by raising the question "..." not only to evoke the audience to think how/ why… but also lead them to arrive at the conclusion by themselves, thus making his argument convincing.

　　作者用提出问题的方式，不但引起读者去思考(在这里加一个从句表示思考的内容)，并且让读者觉得，是他们自己得出了这样的结论，因此读者会觉得论证更加可信。

　　The author brings up opposing arguments and then challenges it by stating that …., thus making his argument invulnerable to rutation.
