The World War II broke out at the same time, Japan, one of the alliances of German, assaulted the Pearl Harbor which led to the Pacific Battle. In order to force Japan back out, Einstein suggested President Roosevelt to use nuclear weapon. Consequently, Japan became the only country in the world which suffered the pain of nuclear weapon. Einstein kept feeling guilty after that because his knowledge killed thousands of people.
