美国大学招生官手把手教你准备面试

　　转眼又到11月底，很多同学收到了心仪的美国大学的面试通知，那么在整个美国留学申请过程中，面试是关键的一步，究竟这临门一脚怎样踢得精彩踢得完美?下面我们一起来听一位美国大学招生官对于面试的建议。

　　越来越多的学校在招生中采用interview的方式以保证招生质量。面试的主要目的一是为了更多地了解学生，看学生是否真的“fits the school”。另外就是测试学生的英语表达能力。

　　面试的问题都不会很难，所以你要树立一个基本的概念：this is a conversation rather than an  interview。其实面试也是双向的，除了面试学生之外，学校也很想向学生展示这个学校很好，值得你来。所以完全不需要紧张。但是如果你想让招生老师印象深刻，顺利通过申请最后一关，还是需要好好准备面试的。

　　一般的面试题会包括三个主题和一个综合题。

　　第一个问题一般都问关于学术和学校的经历。比如你在学术方面的兴趣、你最喜欢的一门课、让你对某门课产生浓厚兴趣的老师等。

　　第二个问题一般是你为什么申请这所学校/专业/系/实验室之类的问题。

　　这两个问题的答案你都需要事前准备好并且练习几遍。回答这两类问题的难度在于，答案普遍都很标准化，基本上所有学生的回答都差不太多，不太容易让自己显得多么与众不同。那么如果你想让老师印象深刻，你就要准备一些具体事例，尤其是表达了感情和意义的一个细节或者一个具体时刻。比如你最喜欢的课是历史，那么你可以说某年你去某个名胜古迹旅游，让你对历史有了鲜活的认识等等。这种方法同样适用于“为什么申请这个学校”类的问题。比如你可以说我在网上听过xx教授的课。他讲的xx让我大开眼界……总的方针就是小故事体现大道理。

　　具体如何准备面试？首先准备故事。每个故事你需要按照who, what, when, where,why 写出一个要点。然后练习，注意说话的语速要放松，发音要清楚。最后准备几个问题问学校。

　　在面试之前，务必将这些经常会被问到的question准备充分。以免面试的时候因为紧张，忘词，结巴，等原因给面试官留下了一个非常差的印象。

　　同时，也准备好一些问面试官的问题。比如让他们分享一下自己的就读体验，介绍一下大学的XXX项目，问一问他们大学期间最难忘的经历等等，记得这是一个interactive的conversation,而不是一个问答性质的拷问哦!
