对大多数去国外读MBA的同学来说,过了第一学期就可以松口气,并相信自己剩下的时间也能顺利渡过。一种成就感和乐观精神便取代了开始几个月普遍存在的不安和紧张心理。到了美国MBA大学哈佛大学第二学期,多数学生依然埋头学习与研究,但自信心已在他们身上扎下根来。HBS的第二年完全不同于第一年。除了一门必修课外,所有的课由学生自己选修,所以课堂参与的兴趣提高了,班级也更小了。每个班通常只有40—70人了,不像第一年那样。你要和89个同学呆在一起。这样,学生们的参与频率也提高了,同时,在被教授点名时也不那么紧张了。准备案例的时间基本缩短为两个小时以内,但每天合计仍有6个小时的学习。这并不意味着第二年的案例容易些了。实际上,案例通常是更长、更难了。但是在第一年接触过400多个案例后,学生们更善于抓住案例的核心,更善于分析案例中的关键因素了。
