　　As early as my childhood, I began to respect entrepreneurs who started their business from scratch. I admired their lives which were full of struggles, passion and challenges. My college study has made me realize that a great number of CEOs in the world top 500 companies like Phil Knight, initiator of Nike had very strong background in accounting. However, there are many entrepreneurs who are troubled or deated because of their lack of accounting knowledge. Therore I came to be aware that the accounting was the base of the management with the numbers as its language. Cherishing this realization, I sincerely hoped that I could arm myself with strong accounting background. Besides, my interest in the field of accounting was aroused because I found that I could find the accounting everywhere in our lives. Therore, I knew that it was a very practical subject and workable to our society and I am very suitable to study the accounting with my open and meticulous characters.

　　During my college study, I constantly got involved in research activities in order to do a good preparation for my future accounting learning in your university. From August 2006 to October 2006, I cooperated with my advisor to carry out research on the topic of accounting profit and policies of listed corporations. In the research, we focus our attention on whether listed corporations of oil industry and relevant industries make surplus management in order to evade political cost in China. I gathered all valuable information and materials and explored the real purposes of annexation conducted by those corporations. By picking up all kinds of usul numerical values from the database, I compiled them into the forms according to the specific classification. After the coordination of these data, I give the regressive analysis of the data in the forms under the guidance of my advisor. We finally concluded in the thesis that under the public attention, these listed companies adjust their profit in financial report in order to evade irritation of the public and interference and punishment of government. Through this research activity, I enhanced my ability in data searching, compiling and analyzing, and through the discussion with my research advisor, I found that accounting research was concerning one of the most important topics in economics: the problem of choice.

　　Meanwhile, I spent my vocational times on carrying out practical activities that provided for practical applications of the accounting knowledge and skills. During summer vocation in 2006, I interned at xxx International Economic and Trade Corp., Ltd. During my internship, I utilized AMS 2.41, the financial management software developed by Powerbridge for trading business, as a tool for the daily accounting work. When compiling accounting vouchers, I logged onto Powerbridge’s vouchers entry interface, selected the type of the accounting vouchers, entered the date and abstract, and then selected accounting titles corresponding to accounting entries and finally entered sum of amounts into credit side and debit side accordingly. In addition, I’d like to analyze the debit paying and profit ability of the company. So I picked out the annual report of last year from the software, and selected relevant data to calculate the Current ratio, debt ratio, rate of return on net sales and rate of return on total assets of the company. In this process, I deeply understood the accounting procedure of the enterprises, and grasped the operation of the financial software. Moreover, I was greatly surprised with the revolutionary influence of the computer application in accounting.

　　These research and intern experience has allowed me to make full use of the theoretical knowledge I learned and also deepened my understanding of the way to acquire knowledge by means of researching and studying; certainly the skills used in practical activities is a essential part in pursuing for advanced education in accounting.

　　I will finish my undergraduate study and the strong enthusiasm in accounting is pushing me to pursue the advanced education. After graduation, I intend to work in the investment bank industry or financial companies. In the next 10 years, I expect to become an entrepreneur starting from scratch and hold my own company. The University of xxxxx, just shows such a perfect environment for studying, and provides advanced rigorous training in accounting. At the same time, I am eager to develop my abilities to think about financial questions clearly and critically and to carry out independent research.
