电子工程专业推荐信一
Dear Member of the Admission Committee,
It is my great pleasure to recommend Mr. XXXX Hui for the acceptance to your esteemed graduate program in Electronic Engineering.
I have known Mr. XXXX since this July because he and another two special-trained students were assigned to my lab to have a two months practice to prepare for one of the most famous competition in E.E.—National Undergraduate Electronic Designing Competition.
There were 11 teams in our university, each had 3 teammates. Impressed by his responsibility and experience, I appointed Mr. XXXX the head of No.1 team. As a head, he knew the importance of teamwork. He familiarized the strongpoints of each member and could dispose the work to the proper one. Under his leadership, he and his teammates could exert their best during the process.
I&aposm sure everyone will be impressed by his great patience and meticulous care. One day he designed a AGC(Auto Gain Controller). His work was orderly. He used wires in different color in the circuit when he wired them one by one. Nevertheless that circuit didn’t work well. Then he checked his designing diagram again and made sure his initial design was right. Optimistic as he was, he calmly checked the wires again. But all the wires were connected correctly. There must was a bad chip. So he changed the chip one by one and finally he found the bad chip. He was not contented by the working of his initial design and continue to try another design and successfully enlarged the input range to 10 times after 9 successive hours without eating anything. His earnestness and tenacity made a lasting impression on me.
Intelligent and ambitious, this young man never stops improving himself. He told me it was the third summer holiday he didn’t go home. He tried to learn whatever he thought usul. Practice proved he was a fast-learner. He taught himself VHDL and could use it freely after two weeks of study. As the accumulation of his knowledge, he felt it was important to use some new technology if they wished to have a seat in NUEDC. He chose DSP as his new challenge. Because it needed a deep mathematic foundation, he lent a lot of latest essays about algorithms from me, most in English, to scrutinize and tried to practice what he had learned. One month later he could be prize to be the only undergraduate who could program DSP. In the competition of our university he and his teammates successfully designed a Speech Processor by DSP and won a special citation by all my colleagues.
Mr. XXXX is really an energetic and assiduous young man. He and his two teammates always came to my lab at 8:00 a.m. and didn’t leave until 11 p.m. no matter what the weather was, while they were only asked to study here at daytime. It was 5 days bore NUEDC, they decide to design a DSP and peripherals board. As the only person who can design a reliable PCB in his team, he stayed up all a night and finished it in time in the morning. It was not until his job was all right, did he have a sleep of few hours on the table of our lab. Hard and tiring, he was never heard complaining about anything. Besides this, He designed all the hardware independently ,such as the singlechip , DSP, AD/DA,LCD kits and keyboard etc. with Protel SE during this summer. After 3 sleepless days from 9.12-9.15, Mr. XXXX and his teammates successfully finished a Wavorm Generator and won the Second Prize of China.
Since I have the experience of learning in Europe, I strongly encouraged him to pursue further studies abroad, especially in your university. And I do believe this ingenious and industrious young man will be well qualified for your distinguished graduate program. Should you have further question, please don’t hesitate to contact me.% ]. t4

To whom it may concern:
As the dean of E.E. specialty, I have known Mr. XXXX Hui&aposs for over three years .I am writing with pleasure to recommend him for acceptance into your graduate program-University.
I knew him in 1998 when he first came to our university. Because he could quickly adapt himself to the new environment and had the leadership ability in a certain extent, he was elected the monitor from 46 classmates. He helped me to organize the first introduction lecture I gave to his class---“Introduction of E.E. specialty”. Through his questions in the lecture, I found that he had some comprehension on his major and had his own plan to be a outstanding man.
Mr. XXXX was the first undergraduate who came to our lab in his fellow classmates ,when he had finished enough lessons (even have some selected professional lessons exceeded ) in 2000. To my surprise, he got along well with my graduates soon and could help them with some fundamental works. In the spring of 2001,he was here preparing for the “Creation Cup” Making and Designing Competition of our university. His project was a “Artificial Intelligent Administration System” .As a tutor of him, I beheld the whole process how he designed the program and made the hardware. When he faced a problem, he went to the library by himself or asked me and my graduates for the best way to resolve it. He finished such a big project in a month, which really amazed me. Finally he got the FIRST PRIZE in the competition (there are only 3 first prize among nearly 300 works). I am so glad for him, because this achievement will not depart from his hard work, strong foundation, DIY ability and his fortitude. Now he is invited to take part in one of my projects, PowerPlant, he helps me with the programme of DSP by assembly language. To think his excellent accomplishment, I am considering to give him another little project to finish independently.
I was sorry to learn that Mr. XXXX will go abroad for post graduate study. As far as I know, his overall grade ranks upper 7% among 92 of the same major, and he has been granted the honor of entering the graduate program at our university, waived of the admission test. But he told me he would abandon the opportunity of our university and apply the one in your university. Frankly speaking, Mr. XXXX was not generally regarded as a top student in his class in the first semester (perhaps it took he too much time on the administration of his class and some social activities, his class was one of the best classes no matter in study , P.E or in other aspects in his tour of duty), while he now is an excellent one. In my opinion, he is more mature when he realized the importance to be a versatile student.
He has great potential, and I do believe he will stand out soon among his follow students under any conditions. I also believe some day I will be proud to say that Mr. XXXX Hui is one of my former students.
If you want to know mere about Mr. XXXX Hui, please contact me .I will offer my assistance with great pleasure.
