Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor - Higher Education Student Affairs

College/Division: College of Education

DUTIES:

A strong candidate will have expertise and experience in higher education and student affairs. It is highly desirable for the candidate to have experience in higher education/student affairs administration, graduate course instruction, and program assessment. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills necessary to work and interact fectively and collaboratively with a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education Experience):

Minimum Qualifications:

A doctorate in Higher Education or Student Affairs Administration or a closely related field; active participation in professional associations

Prerred Qualifications:

Administrative experience in one of the areas; evidence of successful graduate course instruction in higher education/student affairs

The Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) program within the department of Leadership, Counseling, Adult, Career, and Higher Education (LCACHE) is seeking a one-year Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor to teach in the doctoral and master's degree programs. This position is subject to a criminal background check.

This is a 9-month position with expectation of teaching six courses in the academic year. The position start date is August 7, 2015.
