The Department of Animal Science at Michigan State University is seeking candidates for a 9-month, tenure-system, 80% research, 15% teaching, 5% service position at the Assistant Professor level in reproductive biology of farm animals. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous extramurally funded basic research program and to contribute to the teaching mission in the discipline. The successful candidate will join the campus-wide program of excellence in Reproductive and Developmental Sciences (), a growing body of well-funded, highly interactive faculty. Candidates must possess a PhD in animal or dairy science, physiology, cell or molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or related area with significant expertise in reproductive biology of farm animals. Postdoctoral experience is prerred as is expertise in dairy cow reproduction. In addition, the ability to communicate application of research fectively to the livestock industry is required. Excellent facilities for molecular, cellular, genetic, and whole-animal research are available. Appropriate start-up funds will be provided and salary is negotiable.
