Assistant Professor - Physiologist - Department of Health Sciences
East Tennessee State University – College of Public Health – Department of Health Sciences – Assistant Professor – Physiologist– 204480. The Department of Health Sciences, in the College of Public Health, at East Tennessee State University, seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor level opening beginning in August 2016. Undergraduate teaching responsibilities will include teaching one of these courses: Introductory Anatomy and Physiology, upper division Human Physiology, and Neurology and/or a course in an area of specialty. The successful candidate is expected to develop a lab-based, extramurally fundable research program, involving Graduate and Undergraduate Students. The research program should complement the mission of the Department, and the College of Public Health.
Qualifications include an earned Ph.D. in a related field. Prerence will be given to candidates with Post-doctoral research experience. Screening of applicants will begin in early 2016. Salary will depend on qualifications and experience.
