Tenure Track Position in Infectious Diseases
The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor position in the tenure track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research. Board Certified in Infectious Diseases is required.
We seek individuals with a strong background in laboratory, translational, and/or clinical research who aim to establish or maintain an innovative, independent research program in the pathogenesis or treatment of infectious diseases that can attract extramural funding. Additional responsibilities will include teaching, as well as participation as an active member of graduate programs based on his/her research focus. The Division of Infectious Diseases is well integrated with the growing Department of Microbiology, as well as the broader basic and translational science forts at the Perelman School of Medicine and University of Pennsylvania. The environment is strong for the advancement of physician-scientists and opportunities exist for joint and/or affiliate appointments in basic science departments depending upon mutual interest.
