whether it was a popular toy with children
and explain why you think the toy is special.
When I was a child, my favorite toy was an action figure(玩具人)calledultraman. It was from a Japanese cartoon on TV which all of us used to watch. Iremember begging my mother to buy me the little robot so that I could play withmy friends during break at school.
It was a 30-centimeter-tall plastic action figure and it cost my mother alot of money at the time, which was ridiculous for a simple toy. However, everyone of my classmates had one, so I really insisted on having one too.
That was a long time ago, but I still remember it had a red armor(盔甲)and itheld a sword and a shield. The robot had joints which allowed it to rotate andswing its arms.
I remember how we used to make the action figures fight with each otherafter school or on the weekend. We would imitate the cartoon heroes and monsterswe had watched and make them fly around our universe. We pretended to be thesuperheroes saving the world form destruction by alien monsters. It was a lot offun and we spent untold hours imagining different plots from adventurous storiesin which our action figures would attack each other.
Until today, I keep this toy as one of my favorite gifts. It is not onlybecause it is a great action figure and lt me too many beautiful memories ofmy childhood, but also because this toy has special sentimental value to me.
{背景知识}
