Each time when I am asked for the greatest strength, I will response without hesitation that it is getting along well with others. I can always tell what is in his/her mind and in what way to keep a good relationship. I regard this intelligence as an advantage to take Public Relations as my major and career pursuit. With this inborn endowment, combined with my academic background as well as internship experience, I firmly cherish an academic goal of pursuing a further study and I want to be an iconic person in PR field.

My origin to delve further into PR was enlightened by a previous experience to study journalism. Having a real nose for news, I chose Broadcast Journalism as my major during my undergraduate study in Communication University of China. I realized that what I learnt in communication was dinitely a basis for delving further into PR learning. While, what I had equipped with in Broadcast Journalism was powerful means to apply to PR. In college, my roommates and I completed a documentary called The Road Of Glory, which depicted the story of our basketball team, from its establishment to the final winner for a third award. As the team leader, I was proud of it. In the production of the video, I organized frequent discussion with Professor Qin Yuming, our teacher of DV Workshop. I was mainly in charge of the innovative concept and clipping work, and with ficient team cooperation, we successfully accomplished the work. When we uploaded our work on the Internet, it was well-received and we were even invited to participate in influential basketball matches, which was totally out of our expectation. This kind of new media brought us much more pleasure, and I believe that more and more new media forms will do something good to communication industry.

I pride myself on being well organized and thorough in writing and communications. As an editor reporter in campus TV station, I was responsible to gather attractive news, organize beautiful articles as well as arrange some interviews. To establish an information portal which was closely linked with students’ daily life, I updated the news broadcasting program with innovative thoughts. Meanwhile, I mastered the techniques to apply audio video editing software. I would love to write, as it is a challenge of conveying complex information in a way that everybody could understand; I would love to communicate, as it is an enjoyment of exchanging opinions to achieve a mutual benit.

With what I have equipped with, I am motivated to pursue a practical experience in internships, during which, I am pleased that I harvested a deep understanding of the PR industry. The most important thing is that I am determined to continue my academic learning by obtaining an access to a master’s education. I am highly motivated to learn more, to delve further into PR for a better development in my future career.
