以莱斯大学为例，生物医学工程设有Master of Bioengineering、Master of Science及Doctor of Philosophy学位，其研究方向为：Biomaterials and drug delivery、Biomedical imaging and diagnostics、Cellular and biomolecular engineering、Computational and theoretical bioengineering、Supramolecular biophysics and bioengineering、Tissue engineering and biomechanics多个领域。学制为一年。
