1. Beat around the bush
【含义】:旁敲侧击,说话绕圈子
【举例】
Sam: I hate your shoes
Max: You certainly don’t beat around the bush do you!”
2. Breaking up the wrong tree
【含义】:找错对象;攻击错了目标;或问错了人
【举例】
Caitlin: Hi Ben, when are our applications due for placement?
