Selection Criteria
The USC Asian Pacific Alumni Association Scholarship program awards scholarships to outstanding students on the basis of academic achievement, personal merit, financial need and ability to contribute to the Asian Pacific American Community.
Applicants must be full-time students (undergraduate, transfer, graduate or professional) who will be enrolled in a USC degree program for the entire year. A minimum 3.0 grade-point average (in a 4-point system) in high school (for entering freshmen) or college is required. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents of the United States.
Application process
You must apply for federal, state, and university financial aid and, in most cases, subsequently qualify for financial aid to be considered for an APAA scholarship. Trustee Scholars are not eligible.
Applications will be available in November 2009. Submit the APAA scholarship application, autobiographical essay, two letters of recommendation and an official transcript by Feb. 5, 2010.
