　　美国Department of State Consular Affairs希望所有的邀请函都要来自于正在美国生活的个人，如果是公司发出的邀请函可能在内容上与个人发出的邀请函有所区别。邀请函适用于那些需要在美国停留时间长达6个月的家人或朋友，如果只来美国待一个星期，则不需要准备邀请函。邀请函最好准备两版，一版英文，一版中文，即使同时来美的家人或同学超过1个人，也不用写n版邀请函，一封就适用于所有人了。

　　邀请函一般包含以下内容，但是也不局限于以下内容：

　　1.邀请人的名字，在美居住类型；

　　2.如果邀请人是F-1或J-1签证的学生，需要邀请人表明自己在某学校的全日制学生身份，学位类型和所学专业；

　　3.如果邀请人是J-1访问学者或H-1B工作签证身份，邀请信中写清楚自己的工作职位，所在部门等；

　　4.被邀请人的姓名和生日；

　　5.邀请人与被邀请人的关系(父母，家人，朋友等)；

　　6.受邀原因(参加毕业典礼，小孩儿出生，旅游等)；

　　7.邀请信中写出被邀请人入境日期和离境日期；

　　8.邀请信中写出被邀请人来美时的资金支持情况。如果邀请人将支付被邀请人在美期间所有的消费，邀请人尽量提供一份银行开具的存款证明，表明自己有足够的资金支付被邀人所有的花费和开销。

　　9.邀请信中还要明确表达出被邀请人在美只是短暂停留，一旦停留日期到期，被邀请人会按时回国，同时也可以陈述被邀请人回国的原因以保证信息的真实性，比如回国工作，财产的约束情况或者其他具有很强约束力的原因。

　　邀请人需提供给被邀请人：

　　1.I-94卡；

　　2.移居类型，比如F-1签证的I-20表格，J-1签证的DS-2019表格或者H-1B签证用到的I-797同意声明；

　　3.如果是在美留学生，可以提供学校开出的Advising report.

　　I am writing this letter to invite my parents (name and brithdays) to visit me in the United States this coming (month) for a period of 6 months.

　　It goes without saying that I will cover all expenses during their visit, which includes international air tickets, local transportation, accommodations, medical insurances and all other related expenses.

　　Your favorable consideration regarding their visa Applications will be highly appreciated. If you have any question regarding this matter, please kindly contact me at the address above

　　Dear sir/madam,

　　I,____, residing at_____, would like to invite my mother, ____,residing at____, to visit us in America for about ____ months starting from____ to ____.

　　The purpose of the visit is social as well as tourism within America. During her visit, she will stay with us at the above address and we will be responsible for all her expenses including the round trip airfare to America, food, housing, travelling within America, medical insurance and all her other expenses.

　　We will make sure that my mother will leave America bore the expiration of her authorized stay. Please kindly grant her a temporary resident visa.
