A: Harvard University encourages interested people to apply to study here regardless of their financial circumstances. Harvard College's admissions process is need-blind. Q: Does Harvard rent dormitory rooms during the summer?
A: Harvard does not rent out its dorm rooms to summer visitors.

A: The Undergraduate Admissions Office says that there is no formula for getting into Harvard College. "Successful applicants present strong academic credentials, evidence of highly developed talents or interests, motivation and character. We hope that every student who is committed to excellence in its many forms will explore the opportunities at Harvard and consider applying to the College," their Web site states. In the early morning hours, construction workers were still preparing the Inner Quadrangle for the opening ceremonies. The great arch at the western end had been backed with panels of red and white cloth to form an alcove where the dignitaries would sit. Behind the stage was a life-size portrait of Leland Stanford, Jr., in whose memory the university was founded.
