1.5 Samples for part 1 (Hometown)
1.5.1 What’s your hometown?
I come from a small town, which is located/situated in the southern part of Hunan province. Small though it is, it has a large population of nearly/approximately 780,000.
1.5.2 Please describe your hometown a little.
I live in a small town about 200 kilometers from the nearest big cities. Although it is a long way, the drive from the city is well worth the effort because the scenery along the journey is really fascinating.I enjoy living there cause it is peaceful and tranquil and the air is fresh, so it is much nicer than in the city.
1.5.3 How long have you been living there?
I have lived there since i was born.So almost ... years. Most of my relatives live there too so i won’t feel bored even if there are few entertainment facilities in my hometown. I love to visit them on weekends,.
1.5.4 Is there anything you dislike about it?
The only thing that i dislike is the traffic in my hometown. As it is a rather small town, there is limited means of transportation. if you want to reach the neighboring town or village, the only option there for you is the bus. Sometimes, you have to wait for the bus until the cows come home.
1.5.5 Do you think you will continue living there for a long time?
Actually, i won’t. I mean i love my hometown very much, but i have to move to big cities where i can find a decent job and can exploit my ability.
All the samples above are just for reference. We don’t have to recite other people’s answers. What we do need to do is to create our own answers for the questions or topics. As we all know, it requires painstaking effort for us to improve our speaking part.
There are 3 steps for you to follow. The first step is that we should accumulate some words and expressions for the related topics. Secondly, we can create our own answers (especially for the difficult ones). Last but not least, we should bear in mind that practice makes perfect. So, practice! practice! practice!连线专家
