　　作文SECTION

　　我抽到的Issue 作文题目是第53题： If a goal is worthy, then any means taken to attain it are justifiable.

　　Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.

　　这篇题目很哲学化，不太好写。我采取的立场是反对作者的观点。给出的理由大致是这样会有不好的后果，举了个教育里的例子，“为了学生好”体罚学生。又举了个政治里的例子，革命可以杀人。最后说，重视过程是进步的表现。

　　勉强凑够了一页，写得不是很理想。

　　ARGUMENT题目我抽到的是第56题： The following appeared in a memo from the vice president of marketing at Dura-Sock, Inc.

　　"A recent study of our customers suggests that our company is wasting the money it spends on its patented Endure manufacturing process, which ensures that our socks are strong enough to last for two years. We have always advertised our use of the Endure process, but the new study shows that despite our socks&apos durability, our average customer actually purchases new Dura-Socks every three months. Furthermore, our customers surveyed in our largest market, northeastern United States cities, say that they most value Dura-Socks&apos stylish appearance and availability in many colors. These findings suggest that we can increase our profits by discontinuing use of the Endure manufacturing process."

　　Write a response in which you examine the stated and/or unstated assumptions of the argument. Be sure to explain how the argument depends on these assumptions and what the implications are for the argument if the assumptions prove unwarranted.

　　这个题目比较简单。我的思路是作者作了3个有问题的假设：

　　1 购买频率等于使用时间。2 survey 的可靠性。3 东北地区的代表性。

　　这样写了3个正文段，加开头结尾共5段。应该比Issue 写得好些。

　　出来后和其他同学交流。几个同学都说写的不是这两个题目。可见，每个人的题目都是在线随机生成的。某些网站上说的机经题目是以考场划分的，这肯定是不对的。

　　第2个SECTION遇到的是数学，就知道这次考试加试SECTION是数学了。事实果然如此。

　　第3个SECTION是语文，以后依次交叉出现，一共考了3个数学，2个语文。

　　重点说一下语文部分的感受。

　　题目的难度方面，感觉和OG 题目差不多。

　　填空题目中，我也遇到了一些不太熟悉的单词，时间紧张，没法细琢磨。印象最深的是，第2个SECTION中我遇到至少3道3空题目，虽然题干都不是很长，但难度还是要比1空2空题目高些。所有填空题目中，我只遇到一道老题，就是这道题目：

　　Authoritarian managers rarely recognize a crucial reason for the low levels of serious conflict among members of democratically run work groups: a modicum of tolerance for dissent often prevents _____.

　　(A) demur

　　(B) schism

　　(C) cooperation

　　(D) compliance

　　(E) shortsightedness

　　阅读题目中，有一篇文章说的是妇女文学沙龙的，说这些沙龙和academic forum 明显不同，文章思路很象过去blue sock party 的文章。

　　阅读题目中，每个SECTION中都有至少2到逻辑题目，加强题目，削弱题等。

　　记得有一题说，在一段时期，某国工人阶级的收入下降了，结论说该国两极分化更严重了。题目让我们削弱结论。我选择的是：富人的收入也下降了。

　　大部分同学对逻辑题目不太熟悉，一定要提前准备，可以参考GMAT的逻辑题目。

　　所有6个SECTION完成之后，让我们选择是否报送成绩。如果选择否，是看不到现场给出的语文和数学估计分数的。选择是，才能看到一个按照旧标准给出的估计分数。

　　最后是选送分学校环节，可以选4个免费送分学校， 按照学校名字和学校代码都可以，一定要珍惜这个机会。
